In the 2026\u00a0edition of Japan\u2019s \u201cTruly Strong Universities\u201d rankings (Weekly Toyo Keizai),\u00a0Waseda\u00a0University was ranked second overall among 544\u00a0national, public, and private universities nationwide for the\u00a0third\u00a0consecutive year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to this ranking,\u00a0Waseda\u00a0University is highly rated<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>for its “international\u00a0strength<\/span>,”<\/span>\u00a0such as the number of partner institutions for study abroad and the proportion of international faculty members, as well as for its admission competitiveness (ratio of applicants to enrollment capacity).<\/span>\u00a0

\nThe \u201cTruly Strong Universities\u201d ranking is a multifaceted evaluation of a university\u2019s overall strength based on 13 objective indicators, including educational and research capabilities, employability, financial strength, and international strength. It is a ranking that aims to reveal the underlying strength of a university that cannot be measured by entrance exam deviation scores\u00a0alone<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
