The ceremonies will be split into <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\">multiple sessions over two days<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\">In order to ensure the safety of attendees and control the impact on traffic in the area, only graduating students are invited to attend the ceremony. <\/span>A live broadcast viewing area will be set up on Waseda Campus for guardians of students and the <span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\">ceremonies will be broadcast online. (Subtitles will be available in English and Japanese. The URL link will be posted at a later date.)<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\">Note<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>There may be school specific graduation ceremony events that are separate to the University\u2019s main graduation ceremony. Details on the events organized by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/academics\"> each school<\/a>, including whether or not these events will be held, will be announced on their respective websites when decided. (The broadcast shown on the televisions within the classroom will be the same as the internet broadcast with subtitles in Japanese and English.\uff09<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/waseda.box.com\/s\/sdwd1byuesvljfyegudut63owvd6ewwh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Waseda Campus Map (Route to the live broadcast area)<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>There is no limit on the amount of people who can attend from one family.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Notes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"1\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Doors to the venue will open an hour before the start of each ceremony. Entering the venue may take a considerable amount of time. Please arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony or you may not be able to enter the venue on time.<\/li>\n<li>The live broadcast with Japanese and English subtitles will be displayed on a monitor within the venue where the graduation will take place.<\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"1\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span data-teams=\"true\">There will be 6 signs for commemorative photos (that say: \u201cWaseda Graduation Ceremony\u201d in Japanese) in Okuma Garden on Waseda Campus. The garden will be open from 8:00 am. Make sure to come early for pictures because we expect it will become crowded.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"1\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"5\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Use public transportation to come to the venue. If you must come by car, please use nearby coin-operated parking spaces. Do not park on the streets.<\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"1\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"5\" data-aria-level=\"1\">If you need any special assistance to attend the ceremony (e.g., note-taking, sign language interpretation, seating assistance, seat reservations, attending the ceremony with a small child, etc.), please contact the General Affairs Division at least four weeks in advance regarding your inquiry so that we can try to accommodate your needs.<\/li>\n<li>Information regarding individual undergraduate and graduate schools&#8217; graduation ceremonies and awarding of diplomas will be available at a later date on each department&#8217;s homepage.
