Waseda University is deeply ashamed to learn of these reports, despite Japan\u2019s continued efforts to eradicate cannabis use. \u00a0The University considers this a matter of grave concern, and we extend our deepest apologies. We will investigate the circumstances that led to the present situation, and we intend to do our utmost to take the proper measures to prevent any recurrence.<\/p>\n<p>Waseda University takes this matter seriously, and regarding the sumo club, to which the student belongs, we ordered the suspension of all activities effective November 14<sup>th<\/sup> while the details are confirmed.
