The ceremonies will be split into multiple sessions over two days\u00a0to disperse the number of participants per session.<\/p>\n<p>As a measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19, only new students are invited to attend the ceremony.\uff0a Prior to attending the ceremony, all new students must take their temperature before leaving home. If you have a fever or Covid-19 symptoms, you cannot attend the ceremony in person.<br \/>\n\uff0aA live broadcast viewing area will be set up on Waseda Campus for guardians of students.<\/p>\n<p>The Spring 2023 entrance ceremonies will be broadcasted online. New students who are feeling unwell or do not feel comfortable coming to campus may view the ceremonies live online.<\/p>\n<h4><span data-contrast=\"none\">Note<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">The date, time, proceedings, and rules of the ceremonies might change due to the status of the Covid-19 pandemic at that time.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"none\">There may be school specific entrance ceremony events that are separate to the University\u2019s main entrance ceremony. Details on the events organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/academics\">each school<\/a>,\u00a0including whether or not these events will be held,\u00a0will be announced on their respective website when decided. The broadcast will be the same broadcast that can be <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page26R_mcid70\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">viewed online.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"page26R_mcid74\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Waseda Cam<\/span><\/span><span id=\"page26R_mcid75\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">pus is expected to become quite crowded with welcoming activities for new <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page26R_mcid77\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">students, so please use the following routes to access Building 14 and Building 15 to view the <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page26R_mcid79\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">broadcast.<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/waseda.box.com\/s\/i828qn2tdb9cnaojrbbe2yv0ev4t1dmj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span id=\"page26R_mcid81\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Waseda Campus Map and broadcast location<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><span id=\"page26R_mcid86\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The live broadcast viewing area is scheduled to open one hour prior to the graduation <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page26R_mcid88\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ceremonies\u2019 commencement.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: red;\">Please wear a mask when attending the live broadcast viewing area.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Notes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"2\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Doors to the venue will open an hour before the start of each ceremony. <span style=\"color: red;\"><span class=\"ui-provider gz b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\" dir=\"ltr\">Entering the venue may take a considerable amount of time. Please arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony or you may not be able to enter the venue on time.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"2\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: red;\">Attending students will not be required to wear masks. However, we recommend students to wear masks when conversing loudly. Singing, such as during the school anthem, will require wearing a mask.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"2\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"1\">A thermal imaging camera will be set at the entrance of the venue for body temperature screening. Throughout the venue, alcohol-based hand sanitizers will be available.<\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"2\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Please strictly follow the guideline of university regarding participating in celebrations that involve eating and drinking (including personal events).<\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"2\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\">The Okuma Garden will be open from 8:00-17:00, and a special display will be prepared for photo taking. Please note that Okuma Garden will be closed if it&#8217;s raining.<\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-listid=\"2\" aria-setsize=\"-1\" data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"1\">Use public transportation to come to the venue. If you must come by car, please use nearby coin-operated parking spaces.
