Waseda University is a century-old heritage institution, offering excellent research facilities in both science and humanities. So when I had to choose my dream university for doctoral study I opted for Waseda.<\/p>\n
What is\u00a0your research about?<\/h3>\n
Currently I am concentrating on organic synthesis, and my research plan is dealing with the total synthesis field. I am trying to finish the total synthesis of the molecule named Lycopladine H.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Hello, I am Tanima, from India. I was a Master\u2019s student at IIT Hyderabad, and last year joined Waseda University for the doctoral course. As for\u00a0my image of Japanese life, when I came to Japan, I really did not know anything about Japanese, so in my mind, I wasn’t sure if\u00a0I could survive in Japan well or not. But since\u00a0I came to Japan, I have seen the people here in my laboratory and the university are so cooperative that really help me for surviving in Japan. They help me and show me the way how I should survive in Japan. All of them in Japan, all the people are so helpful. If you also do not know any Japanese, it’s really not any problem, people really help you and gradually you\u2019ll learn the language and their culture. Otherwise,\u00a0Japan is a very clean country in my perspective, and a very peaceful country, a very nice place to live, and also a\u00a0very safe place. We work in the lab the whole day, and when I finish my work, maybe eleven o\u2019clock or twelve o\u2019clock, I walk down the street, on the train, for one year almost, I really have\u00a0not faced any problems. The people are so cooperative, so if you are alone and going to a foreign country for the first time, I think it Japan may be the one of the best choices for you.
