The guests were welcomed by Professor Katsuichi Uchida,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Waseda Deputy President and\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">President of USJI<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">By request of the visitors, Professor Kazuo Kuroda, <\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/gsaps\/en\/\">Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"> and Dean of International Affairs, gave a presentation about international studies and US-Japan exchange and cooperation in education. <\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35648\" style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" alt=\"DSC_0190_cropped\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0190_cropped.jpg\" width=\"2608\" height=\"2635\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0190_cropped.jpg 2608w, https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0190_cropped-610x616.jpg 610w, https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0190_cropped-2000x2020.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2608px) 100vw, 2608px\" \/><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">The graduate students, specializing in international affairs and education, continued the dialogue with Professor Kuroda about topics such as peace education, global citizenship, language as cultural hegemony, and the relevance of humanities and STEM subjects to educational exchange.<\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-35652\" style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" alt=\"DSC_0206_cropped\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0206_cropped.jpg\" width=\"3826\" height=\"1796\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0206_cropped.jpg 3826w, https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0206_cropped-610x286.jpg 610w, https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/12\/DSC_0206_cropped-2000x938.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 3826px) 100vw, 3826px\" \/><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Kakehashi Project is a large-scale exchange program funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), designed to allow over 5000 young people to travel and participate in international exchange.
