{"id":33984,"date":"2015-10-27T14:39:54","date_gmt":"2015-10-27T05:39:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/?p=33984"},"modified":"2015-10-29T09:31:10","modified_gmt":"2015-10-29T00:31:10","slug":"welcome-back-alumni","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/news\/33984","title":{"rendered":"Welcome back alumni"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Waseda Campus: October 18, 2015<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  \" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/10\/151027_01.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Many alumni gathered in Okuma Garden to reminisce on their days as students<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" \" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/10\/151027_02.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Professional baseball player Shintaro Ejiri and alumni Shinji Abe discussed their time playing together in the Waseda Baseball Club thirteen years ago<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" \" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/10\/151027_03.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Yumenoshima Park Plant Museum helped run the WASEDA for Kids event<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/assets\/uploads\/2015\/10\/151027_04.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>October 18 was Waseda\u2019s 50<sup>th<\/sup> homecoming day and to celebrate the University held a festival for alumni, friends, and family.<\/p>\n<p>The festival was host to a number of events including the popular Alumni Music Festival, Global Pride Parade, WASEDA for KIDS, and more. The Waseda Alumni Associated hosted a panel discussion and lecture based on the theme \u201cThe Next Generation! Step by step towards Waseda\u2019s future,\u201d where visitors listened intently and enthusiastically asked questions about the University\u2019s future.
