Starting from around 6:30am, the Waseda Property Management WU Service cleaning team works hard to make sure campus is ready before classes start at 9am.

The cleaning team’s duties range from sweeping indoors and outdoors to wiping scribbles off blackboards and desks. Among these duties, the most challenging is rubbish collection and separation. When disposing rubbish, the cleaning team empties out every individual can and bottle that has liquid left in it. Let’s be considerate of the cleaning team and make sure to separate our garbage and put our bento containers into plastic bags before throwing them away.

Waseda is known for its clean campus. This is made possible thanks to the hard work of Waseda’s cleaning team that looks after campus at university events, sweeps the leaves that endlessly fall from ginko trees, and takes on a variety of constant challenges.

There are nearly 400 cleaning team members who come to Waseda’s campuses every morning. Approximately 100 of these members can be found at Waseda Campus.
