On display in the show window of the recently renovated Building 27 is a piece made from sea glass by Art and Architecture School alumni group, Design unit C.L.A.D., and artist Takashi Ishida.<\/p>\n

<\/b>Fragments of glass drifting along the vast ocean to ocean shores\u2026..fragments of glass cradled and refined by the ocean\u2026..fragments of glass like no other.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/b>Inspired by the Waseda Ocean initiative for the Top Global University Project, this large tree represents scholarship that goes beyond national borders and brings people together, and is testament to the growth of an academic ocean free of physical barriers.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Waseda’s Office of Information & Public Relations and Cultural Planning Section are now accepting applications for creative works from students, teaching faculty, and alumni to be displayed in the Building 27 show window.
