The temple is approximately 1,200 years old and previously occupied a large portion of Waseda University&#8217;s campus. The temple is well known for its Katsumori (\u52dd\u5b88\u308a), or \u2018victory charm\u2019 which has a white \u2018W\u2019 embroidered on a bordeaux cloth.
