Professor emeritus. Kyojiro Someya and his wife Chieko have kindly donated their 570.68 ㎡ lot to Waseda University. Prof. Someya has been a leading figure in the accounting field, broadly contributing to research and education at the university. Waseda has constructed a new venue for international exchange on this land, a four-storey building with a basement: ‘The Someya Memorial International Conference Hall’ was opened in April 1990. On the ground floor there is a reception room with a capacity of 40 to 50, and on the 2nd and 3rd floors is accommodation for overseas researchers (a total of 6 units), mainly for VIP guests, guests invited by Waseda and visiting scholars and research fellow who come to Waseda. The basement is a garage for university vehicles.

◇Room rate is charged by number of reserved days, not by number of reserved nights.
◇A consumption tax (10%) will be added for stays of less than one month.
◇Light, fuel and water expenses and domestic telephone charges are included in the rates above. If your unit exceeds the monthly average for utility use, you may be charged the difference in the cost.
◇Internet with wifi connection is available.
◇Please pay the bills in cash, by deposits, or credit cards (on-line).
◇If you intend to be away for 14 nights or more during your occupancy and only if you notify us in advance of the circumstances, we will not charge you rent for the period reported. Please note that, in such an event, we ask that you make sure all of your personal belongings are removed from the rented property prior to your leave. The charge for rent will resume upon the date of your return.
◇Each room type can accommodate one more person in addition to its capacity listed above with an extra bed. There are limited numbers of extra beds, and please contact us if they will be available.

– Linens (bed sheets etc.) will be provided for all the guests of six years and above. Please let us know in advance if guests under five years will need linens.
– We do not supply amenity goods such as soap, shampoo and toothbrush.
