I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support over the past year.

In November 2012, Waseda University adopted the mid- to long-term plan “Waseda Vision 150,” and promised decisive reform with the aim of continuing to contribute to the world as a leading university in Asia.

In March, we will open the Nakano International Community Plaza, where international and provincial students will mingle with one another, and it is expected to heighten further our university’s diversity and international flavor. We will continue with sweeping reforms, continuing to enhance the character of Waseda, where diverse students get together, compete with one another, and polish their humanity, and to develop excellent personnel who will be leaders of the next era.

I sincerely hope to receive your continuing support in the year ahead.

Kaoru Kamata
President of Waseda University
