On October 21, the 53rd Home Coming Day was held on Waseda campus to welcome alumni back on campus. Every year, Waseda University invites former students who graduated 15, 25, 35, 45 and 50 years ago back to Waseda on this special occasion to have them experience the present-day Waseda. Aside from those being invited, there were many from the public who came to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Home Coming Day.

As the Waseda Arena is still under construction, this year’s memorial ceremony for the Home Coming Day was held at the Okuma Auditorium instead. Campus tours were also conducted by current students to take alumni around the campuses which might have changed drastically from when they were still students.

The University hopes that all alumni and visitors present on that day had enjoyed themselves and looks forward to inviting them again in many more upcoming years to come.
