CAMPUS Asia is a groundbreaking program established between three of the leading universities in East Asia (Waseda University, Peking University, and Korea University) in 2016, to develop the next generation of leaders who can contribute to solving international conflicts and how to make a better future both for East Asia and for the whole world.

Waseda University offers a number of lecture series by inviting world-class leaders and innovators in the field of conflict resolution and social innovation. The seminar series “Waseda Meets Global Leaders” provides students with an opportunity to directly meet and interact with global leaders to learn challenges faced by today’s world, their approaches to overcoming those challenges and how they have made it possible through their distinctive leadership.

To kick off the 2017 series of “Waseda Meets Global Leaders”, Waseda University invites Ms. Tomoko Nishimoto, Assistant Director-General and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, International Labour Organization (ILO), to learn the latest challenges faced by millions of workers in Asia and the Pacific, and how Ms. Nishimoto has led the ILO regional office and a number of other international organizations in the field of good governance, poverty eradication, human rights and energy.
