Waseda University mourns the passing of Stanford University Professor Emeritus Kenneth J. Arrow.

In 1972 at the age of 51, Professor Arrow became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics at the time, in recognition of his cutting-edge research on general equilibrium analysis.

To commemorate his outstanding achievements, Waseda University awarded him the honorary doctorate to Professor Arrow on March 28, 2009.
