Requesting financial prosperity at Anahachiman Shrine

We are over half way through the first month of 2016. I hope everyone is well.

Around this time of the year, many make their way to Anahachiman Shrine, located across the street from Toyama Campus.

Anahachiman Shrine was established in 1062 when the famous Heian period samurai Minamoto no Yoshiie made an offering to the area by enshrining his helmet and long sword. Every winter solstice, crowds of people from around the country gather at the shrine to pray for financial prosperity.

Now that classes are back in session, students have returned, and with them, energy back to the Waseda campuses. This is an important time for students as they prepare for finals. Please watch over your health so you can give it your all during the upcoming examinations.
