90.9% satisfaction among students
34th student life survey underway

Waseda University is conducting its 34th student life survey from May 18 to June 8. The student life survey is conducted to measure student satisfaction in relation to coursework, extracurricular activities, and more. This year’s survey targets 10,000 undergraduate students, 2,000 graduate students, and all professional degree students.

Based on the surveys, satisfaction among students in relation to student life has improved greatly over the past 10 years. In 2004, 82.1% of students were “very satisfied” or “fairly satisfied” with their student life experience. This figure has raised 8.8% since then, reaching 90.9% last year. This increase can be attributed to the growth of extracurricular activities and expansion of student support services on campus.
