Commissioned/Joint research and donations

Commissioned research

This is research commissioned by external organizations such as companies and institutions. The expenses necessary for such research are borne by the commissioning party.

Joint research

This is collaborative research on shared topics, accepting researchers and funds from external institutions.

Commissioned or joint research, based on the content of a Research and Investigation Request Form submitted by a commissioning party, will commence after conclusion of an agreement regarding the research plan, research period, expenses and researchers in charge.

【Process leading to commencement of commissioned research】

Inquiries

Please make contact with the Institute after consideration of the content of your request and the necessary expenses.

Create and submit a Research and Investigation Request Form

Once the implementation plan has been determined through consultation with the researcher(s) in charge, please complete the prescribed Research and Investigation Request, affix a seal, and have the relevant researcher submit it to the Research Institute office.

Assessment

The approval of the commissioned research contract will be decided by the Steering Committee of the Advanced Collaborative Research Organization for Smart Society (ACROSS).

Conclusion of contract

When the Steering Committee has given its approval and mutual agreement has been reached, the contract (using the University template) will be concluded.

Note: The agreement will be examined by parties including the University's Intellectual Property Department. It may take some time for the University to finalize the contract.

Payment of research funds

We will finalize the contract and send you documents including the contract and an invoice. Please pay the University in accordance with the terms of the contract.

Donations
