User ID and Password

How to change Waseda ID

Please be aware that you can change your Waseda ID only once in the same year. (ie From January 1st to December 31st of the same year). Please refer how to change your Waseda ID HERE.

CD (Check Digit)

Check digit is the numbers beyond the hyphen.
If your student ID is composed of a set of numbers, please change the last number accordingly to the following rule.
If your student ID contains any alphabetical letters you do not need to do the above procedure.

0→a 1→b 2→c 3→d 4→e 5→f 6→g 7→h 8→j 9→k
Example:
For example, if your student ID is 「40031234-5」, in order to change your student ID with CD, change 「5」beyond 「-」to f. Therefore, your student ID with CD is 「40031234f」
If your student ID is 「1A001234-5」,you do not have to change 「5」beyond 「-」to alphabetical letter. Your student ID with CD is 「1a0012345」(Please note that the alphabetical letter in your student ID should be converted into lower case.

Your mail address will be

The name of the Japanese traditional color is given to the “BBB” part, which is called subdomain.
The choice of the subdomain is available accordingly to your qualification as shown below.

Second email address

The second email address string is the same as the Waseda Mail address other than the "y".
Where the Waseda Mail address is "[email protected]", the second email address is "[email protected]y.moegi.waseda.jp".

[email protected]y.BBB.waseda.jp

The second email password is an arbitrary character string. This is different from your MyWaseda or Waseda Mail password. If you forget your password, please apply to MyWaseda to have it reissued (Reissue of the password (in Japanese))

  • * The second email address is an optional service that can be used only by those who have carried out the procedures to start using it, and the service was stopped/changed in June 2016. Only the faculty and alumni using the service as of June 2016 may continue using the Office365 email address. Click here (in Japanese) for details.

Password

During the campus closed/gradually-opening period, students and faculty should apply for a password reissue from HERE.
Alumni, please reissue your password online from the alumni association website.

If you forget your Waseda ID, mail address or password, you need to make a new password request at IT desk.

Students

You need to have your password re-issued at the help desk. For more information, click here.

  • *Be sure to bring your student ID card with you.
  • *You need to attend “On-demand Seminar” as well as take and pass the test within the two weeks after the re-issue of password.
To Faculty members

If you have registered with password reminder information system click here to have your password re-issued.
If you cannot use password reminder information system, please have your password re-issued at the help desk.

  • *If you do not possess Faculty member ID card, please consult the procedures at your office
To Alumni

If you have registered with password reminder information system click here to have your password re-issued.
If you cannot use password reminder information system, please have your password re-issued by mail or at the Alumni Counter on the first floor of Okuma Kaikan.
