{"id":26756,"date":"2026-01-21T09:30:05","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T00:30:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/library\/?p=26756"},"modified":"2026-01-21T09:18:33","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T00:18:33","slug":"notice-relocation-of-the-science-and-engineering-student-reading-room-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/library\/news-en\/2026\/01\/21\/26756\/","title":{"rendered":"Relocation of the Science and Engineering Students\u2019 Reading Room"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Science and Engineering Students\u2019 Reading Room<\/span> will cease providing services at its current location on the first floor of N Wing of Building No. 55 on <strong>January 27 (Tue.), 2026<\/strong>\u00a0due to construction work on the Nishi-Waseda Campus, and will resume activities at <strong>the first basement floor of Building No. 52<\/strong>, from <strong>March 13 (Fri.), 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Closure period due to relocation: From January 28 (Wed.), 2026 to March 12 (Thu.), 2026.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to ask all users to please pay attention to the following points and cooperate with us during the planned relocation.<\/p>\n<h4>1) Borrowing, Returning, Holding<\/h4>\n<p>(Borrowing)<br \/>\nMaterials in the Students\u2019 Reading Room can be checked out until <strong>January 27 (Tue.), 2026<\/strong>. Please note <strong>all materials will not be available for borrowing from January 28 (Wed.), 2026 to March 12 (Thu.), 2026 due to relocation.<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen you would like to return and borrow materials of the Students\u2019 Reading Room during the closure period, please do so at the counter of the Science and Engineering Library, other libraries or other reading rooms.<\/p>\n<p>(Returning)<br \/>\nDue date will be set so that they do not fall during the closure period. Even during the closure period, you can return materials at the counter in the Science and Engineering Library (Bldg. No. 51, B1F) or the book-return posts.<br \/>\n&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/library\/en\/services\/borrowing\/#anc_10\">Return Anywhere Service<\/a>&#8221; is also available as usual.<\/p>\n<p>(Holding)<br \/>\nPlease pick up materials on hold, including materials of the Students\u2019 Reading Room that you requested before the closure period, at the counter in the Science and Engineering Library.<\/p>\n<h4>2) Requesting materials<\/h4>\n<p>During the closure period, you cannot request the materials of Science and Engineering Students\u2019 Reading Room.
