With this R&amp;P, Corresponding Author can publish Open Access (OA) in OUP journals without Open Access publication charge. Please refer to the following for details such as conditions of APC waiver.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Please note that a person who is eligible for APC waiver is different from one eligible for other on-campus programs such as the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/waseda-research-portal.jp\/en\/category\/culture-support\/\">Support for Academic Paper Publication<\/a>\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b><u>The below contents are subject to change. Please check the following information before submitting your articles. <\/u><\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>R&amp;P Contract Period*<sup>1<\/sup>:\u00a0January 2023 &#8211; December 2025<\/li>\n<li>APC Discount Rate: 100%<\/li>\n<li>Number of APC Waiver [Waseda University]: 31 articles per year for 2023 \/ 32 articles per year for 2024 and 2025 (Frames are on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline will be when the maximum number is reached.)<\/li>\n<li>Eligible Journals*<sup>2<\/sup>: Please obtain the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/pages\/open-research\/read-and-publish-agreements\/japan-alliance-of-university-library-consortia-justice\">Eligible Journal List<\/a>&#8221; from the OUP website.<\/li>\n<li>Eligible Articles: Article which c<u>orresponding author<\/u>\u00a0who register <b>the designated Waseda email<\/b> submit through the prescribed procedure. (Limited to Hybrid OA publications)\n<div style=\"padding: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; border: 1px dotted #333333; background-color: #dff5f4;\"><b>Waseda emails designated for APC waiver have one of the following domains<\/b>: waseda.jp\u3001aoni.waseda.jp\u3001akane.waseda.jp\u3001asagi.waseda.jp\u3001fuji.waseda.jp\u3001moegi.waseda.jp\u3001ruri.waseda.jp\u3001suou.waseda.jp\u3001toki.waseda.jp<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>APC Waiver Workflow*<sup>3<\/sup>:<br \/>\n1) After the article is accepted, OUP will notify the corresponding author of the OA publication on the system or by e-mail.<br \/>\n2) The corresponding author chooses OA publication and APC waiver.<br \/>\n3) Waseda University <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">must make a decision on whether to use the APC waiver for the relevant article <strong>within 7 days<\/strong><\/span>. Waseda University confirms that the article corresponds to the above &#8220;Eligible Journals&#8221; and &#8220;Eligible Articles&#8221;, and the APC waiver is approved.<br \/>\nNote: Waseda University may send an inquiry e-mail for identity verification. Please reply to the email as soon as you receive it.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: red;\">Platform for APC approval is different depending on each journal until further notice. After that, the platform will be integrated into SciPris.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*<sup>1<\/sup> The re-contract of R&amp;P after 2026 is scheduled in the autumn of 2025.<br \/>\n*<sup>2<\/sup> You need to check the eligible journals before submitting because journals could be updated at any time. Journals with \u201cyes\u201d in the \u201cEligible for hybrid R&amp;P deals?\u201d column in the list are eligible.<br \/>\n*<sup>3<\/sup> Please <b>make sure to check<\/b> an individual account setting on the platform that each journal specifies.
