Participants will<br \/>\ngain an understanding of what reviewers and editors look for in terms of originality, theoretical grounding,<br \/>\nmethodological transparency, and contribution to practice. The session will also offer tips on navigating<br \/>\nrevisions and responding to feedback effectively. There will be time for questions and discussion.<\/p>\n<h5>Speaker<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/inst\/wias\/other\/2025\/04\/07\/18851\/\">MCKINLEY, James Graham<\/a> (Professor of Applied Linguistics, University College London)<\/p>\n<p><em>Speaker Bio:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dr. James McKinley has taught in higher education in the UK, Japan, Australia, and Uganda, as well as US schools. His research targets implications of globalization for L2 writing, language education, and higher education studies, particularly the teaching-research nexus and English medium instruction. Dr. McKinley is co-author and co-editor of several books on research methods in applied linguistics.
