Assistive robots should not stress people with their appearance, unusual equipment or unusual posture. Therefore, there is a need to analyze and &#8216;understand&#8217; human movement. Data describing movement is used to infer what a given person is doing as well as to plan the actions of the robotic assistant. The research concerns the analysis of human movement and the development of methods for inferring how people perform various activities.
