The past decade has witnessed a rapid rise in interest in perceptual metacognition amongst philosophers, neuroscientists, psychologists and computer scientists. Perceptual metacognition also has close links with the study of perceptual awareness, and has been a mainstay of presentations and symposia at ASSC over the past few years. We think the time is right for a regular meeting dedicated to this field.

This one-day workshop held one day before the ASSC 2024 will showcase the latest research on perceptual confidence and metacognition, in the form of both keynotes and short oral presentations.

For further information, please visit the link below:
https://sites.google.com/view/asscmetacognitionsatellite/home

Date & Time

Venue

Bldg. #19, Room 711, Waseda Campus, Waseda University

Program

9:15-9:45 COFFEE

9:45-10:45 Opening keynote
Hakwan Lau (Team Leader, RIKEN Center for Brain Science)

10:45-11:00 COFFEE BREAK

11:00-12:00 Session 1 – Processes
Matthew Davidson
Medha Shekhar
Luc Vermeylen

12:00-13:15 LUNCH

13:15-14:15 Session 2 – Learning and dynamics
Hélène Van Marcke
Robin Vloeberghs
Yu-An Chen

14:15-14:30 COFFEE BREAK

14:30-15:30 Session 3 – Beyond perception
Astrid Lund
Marco Wittmann
Kentaro Miyamoto

15:30-16:30 Closing keynote
Benedetto de Martino (Professor, Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College London)

Organizer

Waseda Institute for Advanced Study (WIAS)

Co-organizer

Steve Fleming (University College London)
Lucie Charles (Queen Mary University of London)
Dobromir Rahnev (Georgia Tech)
Megan Peters (UC Irvine)

Abstract Perceptual metacognition is the study of the subjective evaluation and control of perceptual proc […]

[1
24,26,28
post-15947","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-events","tag-general","tag-research
["GET
