Instead, management scholarship has emphasized the importance of stakeholder theory more broadly. Moreover, most of this scholarship focuses on private sector organizations. This study aims to fill both research gaps by illustrating the underlying mechanisms that cause public organizations to respond to different pressures exerted by their stakeholder relations. It then empirically assesses how variations in these stakeholder relations are associated with public organizations’ decisions to adopt different environmental sustainability policies – comprehensive vs. incremental policies. Finally, it offers important practical information about the types of relations that public organizations may need to foster to implement sustainability policies that are more likely to achieve global climate goals.

Speaker

Shirley-Ann Behravesh（Assistant Professor of Global Sustainable Enterprise, Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA）

Bio：
Shirley-Ann Behravesh is an assistant professor in global sustainable enterprise with the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
