Using Minna de Honkoku<\/em>: An Introduction and Workshop (2\/2)<\/h2>\n
Statement of purpose<\/h5>\n

The workshop will help participants learn how to use the Minna de Honkoku \u307f\u3093\u306a\u3067\u7ffb\u523b<\/a> <\/em>platform so that they can participate in the Kirishitan kanren shiry\u014d o honkoku \u30ad\u30ea\u30b7\u30bf\u30f3\u95a2\u9023\u53f2\u6599\u3092\u7ffb\u523b<\/a><\/em> project which is a component of the \u201cKirishitan-ban <\/em>in the Digital Age\u201d project (Homepage: https:\/\/kirishitanbank.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

During the workshop participants will work as a group to transcribe part of an Edo period document relating to Christianity in Japan whilst learning the rules and procedures for transcribing a text on the Minna de honkoku <\/em>platform. This will help to increase access to and participation in the project particularly for those who have little to no experience with Minna de honkoku <\/em>or transcribing early modern Japanese texts.<\/p>\n
