研究テーマ
減数分裂におけるクロマチン三次元構造の制御機構
生活習慣の多様化による出産の高齢化は、不妊や先天性欠損症の増加と密接に関わっており、加齢に伴う卵子の質の低下がその一因です。卵子を作るための減数分裂では、両親の染色体がペアとなり、特別な構造を形成することで正しく受け継がれます。すなわち、減数分裂の成功の鍵は、染色体の構成因子であるクロマチンの三次元構造が握っているといえます。私の研究は、クロマチン三次元構造に着目して、減数分裂における染色体動態の分子メカニズムを明らかにすることが目的です。さらに、母体が年齢を重ねることによる卵子の質の低下とクロマチン構造の変化の繋がりを解き明かすことで、卵子劣化の分子実体に迫ります。将来的にはクロマチン構造の制御を解明することで、不妊治療への貢献を目指します。
