研究項目 (RESEARCH FIELDS OF INTEREST)

My writing and teaching focus on the conceptual and methodological dimensions of migration. My work builds upon the fields of critical migration studies, labor studies, and urban studies. Major research foci include the emergence of new labor regimes and the role of migrants in processes of urban, regional, and industry restructuring.
My writing and teaching also revolve around linguistics with a focus on the formation of compound words in Chinese. Recently research also focuses on language and power as reflected in the interactions between new words and social practices.
