Game-theoretic analysis towards the solution of a current problem: Daycare center applications aimed for rejection YOKOTE, Koji, Assistant Professor

Research Topic

Game theoretic and mathematical analysis of desirable allocation rules and its application

The purpose of my research is to theoretically analyze “allocation rules”, which describe how to distribute limited resources among agents. They play key roles in real economic problems, e.g., auctions and daycare allocation. Using game theory and discrete mathematics, I investigate which allocation rules are desirable in the target problem. Especially I’m working on (i) analysis of the performance of “market mechanisms” as an allocation rule, and (ii) application of theoretical results to the design of real allocation rules.
