[Event report] Waseda Campus Tour for International Students \u2013 September 2026<\/h3>\n

At the Hirayama Ikuo Volunteer Center, Waseda University (WAVOC), Student Staff Leaders (SSLs) plan and organize a variety of volunteer activities.<\/p>\n

On September 30, 2026, we organized the \u201cWaseda Campus Tour for International Students.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the generous support of the Waseda University Campus Tour Guides, participants explored the Waseda campus, connected with fellow students, and got a glimpse of volunteer activities at Waseda.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Welcome to Wased<\/strong>a University!<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s WAVOC Campus Tour had two parts: a campus walk and a volunteer introduction at the GCC Common Room.<\/p>\n

On the tour, we stepped inside Okuma Auditorium, which most of us never get to see, and learned the stories behind buildings we walk past every day. Along the way, we also shared handy tips for student life, and it was great to see students from different faculties and programs chatting and making new friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the tour, we moved to the GCC Common Room, where participants sat back and relaxed while we introduced WAVOC and the wide variety of volunteer opportunities at Waseda, as a first step toward getting involved.<\/p>\n

They heard about activities unique to Japan, such as snow shoveling and volunteering at the Waseda Ekiden (relay race), as well as community-based projects. Many students took notes and photos during the session, which showed us just how curious and motivated they were.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u3010Voices from Participants<\/strong>\u3011<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWAVOC has been one of my reasons for joining Waseda, so I\u2019m really happy I got the chance to register for the WAVOC Campus Tour.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are so many fun volunteer activities we can take part in!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI learned so many interesting facts about the campus!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of my favorite parts was visiting Okuma Auditorium. I was fascinated by its history, especially the many important guests who have visited, and how meaningful its design is. I also really enjoyed talking with so many international students. The WAVOC volunteer staff were very helpful and lovely! The tour made me even more excited to be part of the Waseda community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Waseda is a place where you can try new things, meet new people, and challenge yourself. We hope this tour gave you a taste of what makes it special. See you at the next event!<\/p>\n
