On Thursday, December 11, 2025, WAVOC held a Volunteer Caf\u00e9 on the topic of\u00a0 \u201cVolunteer Activity in Japan\u201d. The event was conducted in English and welcomed international students at Waseda.<\/p>\n
We were happy to have two international students with different backgrounds and interests participate in the event. At the Volunteer Caf\u00e9, we introduced WAVOC and the wide range of programs and opportunities abailable to Waseda students. This introduction aimed to help participants better understand how to make use of WAVOC and take the first step toward volunteering. Through our presentation on the WAVOC past activities, participants gained a clearer picture of what they can experience during their time at Waseda. We also recommended volunteer opportunities that are suitable for international students and first-time volunteers.<\/p>\n
After the presentation, we had an interactive and personal conversation with our participants, exchanging our experiences and interests, while we also provided personalized advice.<\/p>\n

Although volunteer activities in Japan often take place in Japanese, international students are always welcome to participate and collaborate in WAVOC programs. For instance, study tours to different regions in Japan can be a meaningful,\u00a0 once-in-a-lifetime experience that allow participants to learn about the country and its people from a new perspective.<\/p>\n
