The Center for Higher Education Studies has established the WASEDA e-Teaching Award as
\npart of the \u201cOrganizing, Developing, and Establishing Good Practice PJ\u201d project, which
\nis in accordance with Waseda Vision 150\u2019s core strategies of \u201c3. Educational Content
\nOpen to the Public in Many Languages\u201d and \u201c4. A Switch to a Style of Education That
\nEmphasizes Interactive Problem Finding and Solving\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u3010 What is the WASEDA e-Teaching Award? \u3011
\nThe WASEDA e-Teaching Award is an award system established by the Center for Higher
\nEducation Studies with the following three objectives:<\/p>\n
\u30fbDefine \u201ce-Teaching\u201d as initiatives that improve educational impact through the use
\nof ICT, specifically LMS and networks, and share Good Practice initiatives that produce
\nresults through its practical implementation.<\/p>\n
\u30fbIncrease the motivation of academic staff, provide better quality education, and
\ncontribute to improvements in learning through synergistic effects brought about by
\nawarding and highlighting e-Teaching initiatives that increase educational impact.<\/p>\n
\u30fbIncrease transparency of the educational content at Waseda University and use this to
\npursue understanding and recognition of the university by society at large through the
\npublication of the academic staff\u2019s methods and e-Teaching methods submitted to the
\ncompetition as outstanding examples of education at the university.<\/p>\n
We are now accepting all entries for the 12th WASEDA e-Teaching Award (AY2022 Spring and Fall Semester Courses).<\/p>\n
This year, we have expanded the period of eligible courses to \u201cAll courses conducted at Waseda University
\nduring AY2022 (including all quarter, intensive, and full year courses) \u201d.<\/p>\n
The entry period has been extended from November 1st to May 7th to encourage
\nthe participation of as many faculty members as possible.<\/p>\n
We are accepting both self-nominations and nominations from other faculty.

\u25c6Candidate Criteria<\/p>\n
All faculty members (including part-time lecturers) affiliated with Waseda University in AY2022
\nwho were in charge of courses in AY2022 spring and fall semesters.<\/p>\n
\u203bNames of non-Waseda University instructors may be included for joint programs.<\/p>\n
\u25c6Eligible Courses
\nAll courses conducted at Waseda University during AY2022 (including all quarter,
\nintensive, and full year courses) which satisfy at least one of the following conditions1-4:<\/p>\n
1\uff0eCourses conducted via on-demand streaming
\n2\uff0eCourses conducted via real-time streaming
\n3\uff0eHybrid format courses (Courses conducted through combining in-person, on-demand streaming,
\nand real-time streaming)
\n4\uff0eCourse utilizing WASEDA Moodle and other ICT that do not fall under 1-3<\/p>\n
