VIVASEDA, a volunteer group of Waseda students for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games f<\/span>ounded in March 2019<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>is recruiting new members for 2020.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic games have been postponed to 2021, VIVASEDA will continue its activities into next year as\u00a0<\/span>well. We have had to postpone or<\/span>\u00a0cancel events one after the other, but each member is actively devising new projects, using various initiatives such as the internet. As this year is now the year before the start of the games, VIVASEDA plans to work together with new students to be an even more active\u00a0<\/span>group and<\/span>\u00a0work hard towards the Games.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Activities\u00a0at last year\u2019s\u00a0Tomonsai<\/p><\/div>\n

On April 16, we held an online introductory meeting where over 50 new students took part.\u00a0<\/span>The meeting included<\/span>\u00a0detailed explanations\u00a0<\/span>from members\u00a0<\/span>on the departments and projects, and a question and answer<\/span>\u00a0session<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Other introductory meetings<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0including an introduction from English interpreters<\/span>, are\u00a0<\/span>scheduled for later.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The sign-up application will be delivered to new students through MyWaseda on April 27. The application period is from April 27 to May 18.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
