The Rare <\/span>\u2606<\/span> 5 Waseda University Pentathlon was held at the Wasedasai Festival organized by the Olympic and Paralympic Project Promotion Section and co-hosted by the Advertising Society and Student Life Section.<\/span><\/p>\n

250 people came out to the event on November 3, and the venue was abuzz with activity throughout the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event borrows from the modern pentathlon, and is an Olympic event where anyone can enjoy taking part in the fun competitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u30fb800 mm dash: A game in which one must be the fastest to press a button 800 mm in front of the competitors when the start sign is given. *The event is 1\/1,000 the scale of the 800 m dash in the modern pentathlon.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u30fbTarget fencing: A game in which one must hit large, medium, and small targets with a fencing sword.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u30fbCarrot strike: A game to see how many carrots out of five can be put in the mouth of the horse.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u30fbBang! Bang! Balloon: A game that uses a water gun to shoot paper. Shooting the paper releases colorful balloons into the sky.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u30fbUpward, vital capacity: A game that tests vital capacity required for swimming. Players compete to see how high they can lift balls in a tube by blowing on the tube.<\/span><\/p>\n
