Alumni Nako Motohashi Selected to Represent Japan in Women’s Basketball at Tokyo 2020!

On July 1, the Japan Basketball Association announced the 12 members of the Japan Women’s National Team for Tokyo 2020, and Waseda University alumni Nako Motohashi (affiliated with Haneda Vickies, graduated from the School of Sport Sciences in 2016) was selected.

Although Nako Motohashi suffered a serious injury to the ligaments of her right knee in November last year, she has worked hard in rehabilitation, giving it her all, and made her return in the Mitsui Fudosan Cup 2021 against Portugal in June this year. Following the tournament, she, along with 16 other players, participated in the sixth training camp for Olympic candidates in late June, and was selected as an outstanding representative for the Women’s National Team.
