Yuichi Sugita (affiliated with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation), who attended Waseda University’s School of Sports Sciences, has been informally selected to compete in the men’s singles tennis at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The decision was announced by the Japan Tennis Association through a notification from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) with Sugita qualifying to play in the Games due to the reallocation of unused singles qualification places.
