Sailor Keiju Okada (Sport Sciences graduate) grabs second spot at World Cup Series in Miami

Waseda alumni Keiju Okada (2018 graduate of the School of Sport Sciences, now with Toyota Motor East Japan) and his fellow sailor Jumpei Hokazono (JR Kyushu) won the silver medal in the Men’s 470 event at the 2020 World Cup Series in Miami, Florida, held from January 19 to 25.

The Okada-Hokazono pair could not overcome Spain in the finals, but they did manage to beat the powerful Australian team and got second place. An auspicious start as the teams look toward Tokyo 2020.
