Yuzuru Hanyu wins Skate Canada Grand Prix, beats personal best

Yuzuru Hanyu, who is studying at the School of Human Sciences internet degree program, won Skate Canada, the second event in the figure skating grand prix, held in Kelowna, Canada between October 25-27, beating his own personal best score.

On the 25th (local time), Mr. Hanyu scored 109.60 in the short program, beating his personal best this season and setting a world record. He also recorded a personal best in the free skate on the 26th. In the overall score, Mr. Hanyu came within 0.83 points of world leader Nathan Chen.

Overall: 322.59

Even after winning gold in two consecutive Winter Olympics at Sochi and Pyeongchang, Mr. Hanyu continues to show no signs of slowing down!
