Affairs<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Changes in Rules for Wearing Masks after April 1 (February 28, 2023)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As has already been reported, the Japanese government has announced a policy change to stop requiring masks as a rule by the administration. After March 13, wearing masks will be left to individual judgment, and masks will be recommended when they are effective as a preventive measure. This new policy will take effect on March 13, taking into consideration the period of awareness and preparation, while it will take effect on April 1 at schools.<br \/>\nTherefore, we will make the following changes in rules for wearing masks on campus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1\uff0eThe current policy of &#8220;in principle, masks are worn indoors, but outdoors masks are not required if there is a distance (approx. 2m) between people&#8221; will continue until March 31.<\/p>\n<p>2\uff0eNotwithstanding the policy described in 1. above, the wearing of masks at graduation ceremonies to be held on March 25 and 26, will be operated differently based on the separately announced government view. Please check the following website for details.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6<a href=\"https:\/\/www.waseda.jp\/top\/en\/news\/76811\">&#8220;Schedule for Spring 2023 graduation ceremonies&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>3\uff0eAfter April 1, we basically do not require students to wear masks on campus. However, we may recommend the wearing of masks for events that may not be able to maintain a sufficient distance from others even outdoors, such as circle recruitment activities that involve face-to-face from April 1 to 4.
