In March 2024, <\/strong>Professor. Matsuoka, Senior Dean<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Professor. Masaki, Vice Dean<\/strong><\/a>, and\u00a0<\/strong>Professor Sakuno<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Waseda University visited their partner universities in Australia, the University of Queensland and Griffith University.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The University of Queensland signed an inter-university agreement with Waseda University in 2002, and many academic and student exchanges have taken place.<\/p>\n

The two universities are also participating in the Global Sport University Network (GSUN)<\/span><\/a>, which was launched in September 2023, as council members. During the visit, they exchanged ideas about the current education and research activities and then agreed to strengthen collaboration in the field of sports science for the future.<\/p>\n

The delegation visited Griffith University on the next day. Griffith University also signed an inter-university agreement with Waseda University in 2018 and have been exchanging many researchers and students since. The Faculty of Sport Sciences has been inviting\u00a0Professor Kevin Filo as a visiting faculty member<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to teach a course every other year since 2018. During this visit, the universities discussed the possibility of strengthening joint supervision for graduate students at both universities and explored new collaborations in terms of research in the future. It has also been decided that Professor Filo will be invited to the Faculty of Sport Sciences again in October 2024.<\/p>\n
