Waseda University\u2019s Top Global University (TGU) Project\u2019s\u00a0 Health Promotion Unit<\/a>\u00a0 invited Prof. Zsolt Radak<\/a> (Hungarian University of Sports Science<\/a>) as a\u00a0 Joint Appointment (JA) faculty member for the academic year 2023. Prof.\u00a0 Radak has been teaching not only at the Hungarian University of Sports Science, but also as a visiting professor at universities around the world, including in the United States, France, China, and Taiwan, in research fields such as exercise physiology, biological aging, training theory, and exercise biochemistry. This visit is his third stay with Waseda University as a JA faculty member.<\/p>\n

Prof. Radak has been giving intensive lectures to students of the Graduate School of Sport Sciences since January 11, 2024, and also met with Professor Hiroaki Masaki<\/a>, the leader of the TGU Health Promotion Unit. During their meeting, they shared\u00a0 the latest research activities, and discussed\u00a0 future cooperation between the universities and the potential areas for new joint projects.<\/p>\n

Unlike in FY2020 and FY2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic\u00a0 prevented his visit to Japan, and in FY2022, when he had to communicate through a mask, this year intensive face-to-face lectures and discussions are possible, and Prof. Radak is even more excited about the exchanges between academics and students.<\/p>\n
