The Global Japanese Studies Model Unit is pleased to invite you to the international symposium titled \u201cSymposium Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Verse\u201d.
\nIt is a two-day event to explore the connections, similarities, and differences among verse from various cultures. Special focus will be given to Early Modern English and Japanese verse as well as to sonnets.
\nThe symposium commemorates the publication of Robert Stagg\u2019s Shakespeare\u2019s Blank Verse: An Alternative History<\/em> (Oxford, 2022) and is part of the Birmingham\/Waseda Research Collaboration.<\/p>\n
