New submission due: 12:00 Monday, April 4, 2022<\/strong> ——————<\/p>\n We are pleased to announce that the Center for Positive\/Empirical Analysis of Political Economy will subsidize program fees for graduate students taking the 2022 ICPSR Summer Program. ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research) is a university association for political and social research established in 1962 by the Institute of Social Research, University of Michigan, and holds the Summer Program every year.<\/p>\n The ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research has a comprehensive curriculum of intensive courses in research design, statistics, data analysis, and social methodology. Following the programs conducted online in 2020 and 2021, it will be held hybrid this year\u2014both in-person and online. \n* TGU subsidy is available for 4-week courses only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nTGU Subsidy for the ICPSR Summer Program in 2022<\/h4>\n
\nWaseda University graduate students who are:
\n1. Willing to participate in the 2022 ICPSR Summer Program at University of Michigan (In-person)
\n2. Willing to share their knowledge \/ experience gained from the program in reports and presentations and cooperate with future public relations activities of the TGU project.
\n(After completing the program, the following documents should be submitted to the TGU Office.)
\na) A receipt \/ proof of payment issued by ICPSR
\nb) ICPSR course completion certificate
\nc) Course report<\/p>\n
\n*Since Waseda University is a member institution of ICPSR, a membership rate of $2,600 will be applied. In addition, 100,000 yen would be granted by the ICPSR Japanese National Membership Consortium. TGU will subsidize the difference of the member fee ($2,600) minus the Japanese consortium grant.<\/p>\n

\n\u30fb Successful applicants will be required to register for the ICPSR program using their own credit cards.
\n\u30fb TGU subsidy will be paid to the participants after all required documents will be confirmed by the TGU Office. (around August-September)
\n\u30fb Students who have not taken this program in the past will be selected with priority.
\n\u30fb Students who have not received any financial support from TGU before will be given priority.<\/p>\n
\n\u30fbPlease be sure that you meet all the conditions set by the ICPSR Headquarters to attend their courses in-person, such as the vaccination requirements and wearing a face cover. (Please refer to the ICPSR website for more detail)
\n\u30fb Airline tickets will be arranged by the TGU Office via the travel agency designated by the university. (Individual arrangement not allowed)
\n\u30fb Accommodation and application for the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) should be arranged by students. (Including voluntary quarantine due to some possible measures related to COVID-19)<\/p>\n
