It is unfortunate that there is no end to the news of apparently healthy young people dying during sporting activities that are meant to be enjoyed. In order to reduce the number of such accidents, this lecture will cover the basics of sports safety that anyone involved in sports (leaders, educators, parents, medical professionals, athletic trainers, etc.) should know. Associate Professor Hosokawa, who is in charge of this course, is certified as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) in the United States.
