But let us ask<\/span> \u2014\u00a0<\/span> do you feel that diversity matters to you?<\/span>
\nIs there ever a moment when diversity feels like a word meant only for someone else?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We would like each and every one of you to <\/span>\u201d<\/span>Re<\/span><\/b>:<\/span><\/b>think<\/span><\/b>\u201d<\/span><\/b> \u2014<\/span> take a fresh look at the way you\u2019ve been thinking up to this point<\/span>\u00a0about diversity.<\/span>
\nWith that in mind, SDC will once again designate October through December as Diversity Month <\/b>and host a variety of events that offer opportunities to think about diversity<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Taking a moment to pause and reflect\u2014<\/span>
\nthat alone might\u00a0 create an opportunity to think more about yourself in relation to diversity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe involvement of faculty and staff members close to students is crucial for recognizing the concerns and difficulties students face in their daily lives and connecting them with the necessary support. In this program, participants will learn basic knowledge about suicide prevention among young people, the role of gatekeepers and how to respond, and how to connect students with counseling services. We encourage anyone interested in student support to participate.<\/p>\n
