The United Kingdom in International Society: interdisciplinary studies on the changing British society and politics
Waseda Institute for British Studies （WIBS） is attempting to promote the interdisciplinary studies on the United Kingdom （UK） in a changing international society. We carry out our research, mainly four Work Packages which revolve around the following four research topics:
- the Britain’s role in European integration;
- the UK in a decolonizing world;
- political leadership from perspectives of comparative politics; and
- International Relations （IR） theory, particularly the English School of International Society.
In order to promote our research, we will consolidate our research network and promote human resource development with British academic institutes, such as the University of Oxford and the University of Warwick.
