Research Theme
The mission of the Waseda Institute for Irish Studies is to promote and support the study of a range of diverse areas of Irish Studies through domestic and international collaboration and cooperation, especially Irish culture, literature, and theatre in the context of Irish history. The Institute organizes team research projects on diverse themes as well as independent research conducted by members and regularly presents its results in international symposia and publications.

- Establishing of a domestic and international network of researchers & institutions
- Organization of international symposia, lectures and seminars
- Organization of extramural lecture series
