The Journal of Inter – Regional Studies: Regional and Global Perspectives (JIRS) is an English language open-access peer-reviewed academic journal.
The journal aims to promote area studies or the study of regions (e.g. Asia, North and South America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East), inter-regional relations, and global governance. We welcome papers based on theoretical perspectives and/or empirical research from researchers around the world from a myriad of academic fields, including International Relations, Political Science, Social Science, History, Development Studies, and Anthropology. The journal will be published once a year. In principle, all papers published in this journal will be uploaded to the open-access website, Waseda Repository, and the website of Waseda ORIS. These papers will be uploaded to the website once they are accepted and completed. This journal publishes original peer-reviewed research articles, research notes, and book reviews.
If you are interested in making a submission, please refer to the information below as well as the Style Guide for Authors and the Internal Regulations on Submissions to Waseda ORIS
journals. We look forward to your submissions.
