Economic experiments using experimental auctions and choice experiments are now popularly used in preference elicitation and valuation research. The studies that employ these methods are important since they generally can be used for business applications as well as welfare and policy analysis. This seminar will discuss the nature and mechanics of these methods and how they can be applied for preference elicitation and valuation research.
