Do you usually go to museums and art galleries?
Tokyo has plenty of art museums and galleries to explore, so we are lucky to have lots of opportunities to enjoy art.

In this event, we will visit the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT Museum), which just re-opened around one month ago after a big refurbishment.
MOT has around 5,400 items in its collection and has a gallery introducing the national and international history of art from 1945 onwards.
It also holds exhibitions of modern art on paintings, sculptures, fashion, architecture, design, and distinctive project exhibitions including
a large-scale international gallery.

This time, we are going to have a special viewing program of the “MOT Collection”.
This is a rare opportunity to mingle with other participants from different backgrounds, freely express your opinions on the artworks, and to further your understanding of how we look at art.
This is guaranteed to give you a fresh and different art appreciation experience than going to the museum by yourself.

Come and join us to visit this just recently renewed museum and enjoy some art appreciation in early summer.

Date & Time

June 11, 2019 (Tue) 2:45pm – 5:00pm

Meeting Place

Meet at the lobby (1F) of the MOT Museum.

(15 min walk from exit 3 of Tokyo Metro Tozai Line Kiba Sta. 9 min walk from exit B2 of Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Sta.)

MAP

Eligibility

All Waseda University Students

Language

Announcements both in Japanese and English.

Activities/tours are mainly conducted in Japanese.

Fee

320yen (Entry fee) *Participants must cover travel fee to the MOT Museum themselves.

(Waseda Sta. to Kiba Sta. on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line or Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Sta. on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line is 200yen one-way)

Registration

Required.
